Mark Donaldson

Mark is the third generation of the Donaldson family in the motor industry. After his graduation from University, he worked for his father where he realised a dream for a career working with collectible automobiles.

In 2002 Mark joined renowned auction house Christie’s as a Specialist in their car department. Initially based in London, in 2005 he accepted a two-year posting to their Beverly Hills office where he was placed in charge of their annual flagship auction in Monterey, Northern California.

Mark returned to the UK in 2007 to work on Private Treaty transactions. Since incorporating his own company in 2010, his experience in handling an array of both high value and complex vehicles has continued to result in consistent repeat business and this is consistently bolstered by referrals. The business operates (when relevant) with the benefit of trusted Consultants and Outsourced Expertise to ensure it remains both competitive and flexible. In keeping with an impressive CV (resume) and having conducted business on five continents; Mark takes his operational diligence very seriously and relishes a challenge.

With over twenty years’ service to the industry, Mark is often cited for market opinion in the motoring press. An avid racer, Mark has competed in the UK, Europe and the USA at notable circuits such as Goodwood, Monza, Nurburgring Nordschleife, Silverstone, Spa Francorchamps and Monza. He has competed in more than ten 24hr Endurance races and has also taken part in the Tour Auto, Silverstone Classic, Le Mans Classic and the Spa 6 hours in a variety of vehicles. Currently he races in the Peter Auto Endurance Racing Legends Championship.

Mark lives in Surrey with his wife and 2 daughters.
