This fine example of the 512 BBi was delivered new via Belgian Agent Garage Francorchamps on 18th December 1981. An early ‘single mirror’ example finished in Rosso it features the lower sections attractively offset in black, the interior is a tasteful mix of tan leather with tan cloth inserts. It further benefits from the Pioneer fitted radio (plus all-important graphic equalizer), electric windows and air conditioning.

The original warranty/ service book on file denotes that the first owner was an American-based gentleman from Colorado and old registration cards on file denote it as being registered in Colorado from January 1982 onwards thus we assume it was air-freighted to the USA. Various registration cards and invoices remain in the same American ownership until 1986 when it was exported. In 1989 the Swiss emissions control passport records the car as being imported by June of that year with an odometer reading of 29,552 kms. The next entry was in July 1999 at 29,766 kms thus the car had remained basically unused for a decade. Accordingly, the file is generously filled with various invoices from Oldtimer Reparatur of Toffen who recommissioned the car after its hibernation. Remaining in the same Swiss ownership until the end of 2004 when it had covered just over 32,000 kms it was then sold to respected German dealer Mario Bernardi in early 2005. The car stayed in Germany until 2014 when at just 32,948 kms it was sold to the current UK owner.

Serviced initially by GTO Engineering in September 2014 when it had the all-important cambelts changed, it has since covered just 3,000 kms as the odometer is about to crest 36,000 kms. Last serviced in December 2017 by Vincent Mezzullo it is now offered for sale. Whilst in superb order it should be noted that the car is due a cambelt service (on time) and the tyres could benefit from replacement (due to age).

UK registered, with books and tools this very attractive BBi is presented in great condition throughout we welcome any inspection by appointment.
